Bishop Donnie R. Turner's Obituary
Bishop Donnie Ray Turner, age 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday evening, February 11, 2011. He was born June 22, 1941 in Lynch, KY to Charles and Virgie (Skidmore) Turner. Bishop Turner was a Church of God pastor for 35 years, and spent the last 17 years pastoring the Grand Haven Church of God. On January 5, 1985 he married Anita J. Henderson in Zeeland, MI and she survives him along with 5 children, Tonya (Robert) Reynolds of Florida, Dallas (Sue) Henderson of Spring Lake, Eva (Tom) Hoekstra of Grand Haven, Charlene (Mark) TeGrootenhuis of Grandville, Audra (Ray) Clay of Zeeland; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie (Patricia) Turner of Zeeland; and sister, Marcella Turner of Zeeland. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Wilma and Margie. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Oak-Crest Church of God (1540 Leonard St., Muskegon) with Pastor Windle Davis, Rev. Nathan Kelch, and Bishop Robert D. Rogers officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-9 PM Monday at
