Mrs. Blanche M. Dausman's Obituary
Mrs. Blanche M. Dausman, 73, passed away early Monday morning, January 11, 2016. She was born November 9, 1942 to Plummer F. and Mary Bell (Pretty) Giddings, Sr. in Hart, and moved to the Muskegon area as a child. Blanche had worked in several area restaurants and had operated her own catering business. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church. On August 5, 1961 she married Melvin Dausman, and he survives her along with 4 children, Joseph (Amanda) Dausman, Jodi. Phillipo, Roy (Cathy) Dausman, Terri Cowles and James Ransom; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters,Frank (Oakley) Giddings, Alvin (Cindy) Giddings, William (Pam) Bentley, Gertrude (Michael) Kirby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and William Bentley, Plummer Giddings; brothers and sisters, Plummer Giddings, Jr., Kenneth Giddings, Thomas Giddings, Ila Giddings, Iva (Paul) Pruitt. The funeral service for Mrs. Dausman will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210, with Rev. Burt C. Wachter officiating. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
