Blanche June Willer's Obituary
Mrs. Blanche June Willer, age 84, went home to be with the angels on Friday, August 30, 2013. She was born November 2, 1928 in Muskegon, MI to Merle and Olive (Herold) Ballard. On January 18, 1947, she married Joseph C. Willer, Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1982. Blanche volunteered at Oakview Schools for 12 years, and Steele Middle School for several years where she was also head of the Safety Patrol. She was a member of Sheridan Road Church of Christ where she volunteered as a Sunshine Lady for many years. She was also a member of the ladies auxiliary at VFW Post #3734. SURVIVORS include her 10 children, Eleanor (Tony) Meinders, Joseph (Kathy) Willer, Jr., Susan (James) Pickard, Patti (Dale) Smith, John Willer, Garry (Julia) Willer, Robert Willer, Delores (Jerry) Place, Timothy (Julie) Willer, George Willer; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 sister, Gloria Young; and 1 brother, Elton (Carlean) Perry; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Bonnie Ingram. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 6, 2013, with visitation 10-11 AM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210, with Rev. Robert Hodgeman officiating.
