Bobby Jack "Bob" Coleman's Obituary
Bobby Jack “Bob” Coleman, 86, of Grand Haven, Michigan, passed away November 14, 2021 at Spectrum Health Zeeland Hospital. He was born on October 11, 1935, in Troy, Tennessee to Wayne and Lovie (Barton) Coleman.
Bob married the love of his life, Marylyn (Groters) on July 24, 1954 in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Bob attended Muskegon Public Schools then soon started in the tool and design industry at Rapid Design in Grand Rapids. He worked many years at Rapid Design, Economy Tool and Wilkie Corporation before starting his own business, Falcon Tool and Die in Ferrysburg, Michigan. He grew the business through the 1990’s before retiring in 2000. He was a long time member of Second Reformed Church in Grand Haven.
Bob enjoyed fishing, boating, flying, country music, traveling with friends, going to the cottage and spending time with his family. He loved to make his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren laugh and joke around with them.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and son, Daniel Scott Coleman. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marylyn; children, Robert (Rachelle) Coleman, Lorri (Mulcahy) Coleman, and Kelly (Gary) Ramsden; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Hendricks, Bryan (Lori) Mulcahy, Dr. R. Ross (Megan) Coleman, Owen (Julianne) Mulcahy, Brett (Erika) Ramsden, Kendall (Timothy) Bogue, Mara (Christopher) VanTubergen, Kimberly (Peter) Medema; and 16 great grandchildren, Frank, Maggie and Tessa Mulcahy; Natalie, Scott and Nolan Hendricks; Elouise and Magnolia Coleman; Brooklyn, Cole and Dax Ramsden; Eli and Gavin Bogue; Harrison and Nora VanTubergen and Hannah Medema, his brother, James (Diana) Coleman and his sister JoAnn (Ken) Jett, brother-in-law and sister-in- law Lee (Mary) Groters as well as and several nieces.
A private memorial service will be held for Bob, as per his wishes, with Pastor Lary Jackson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the American Diabetes Association. The family is being served by The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
