Boneada "Bonnie" Bigelow's Obituary
Mrs. Boneada “Bonnie” Bigelow, age 88, died February 5, 2005 at a local hospital. She was born in Robinson, IL, living most of her life in Twin Lake until her move to Texas die to the ill health of her husband, Robert R. Bigelow. At Twin Lake she was a foster parent with the Muskegon Children’s Home, a title she cherished. Mrs. Bigelow was also an organizer of the Teen Club held at Twin Lake Civic Center. She was a member of the Camilla Baptist Church at Coldspring, TX. Mrs. Bigelow was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert R. Bigelow; parents, Noah & Tressie Thompson; sisters, Jane Brown, Elsie Grimes; and 3 brothers, Fred, Howard, and Ernest Sherrill. SURVIVORS include sons, Richard Bigelow, Willard Szendie; stepson, Robert (Virginia) Bigelow, Jr.; foster son, John (Sissy) Dodge; daughters, Karen Rasmussen, Janet (Jim) Dexter, Mary Ellen (Bill) Camean Ogren, Ardean Fitzgerald Pfhister; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and life long friends, Edith Simpson, Hazel Peterson, and Dick Detzer. SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Joseph Szendre officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday.
