Ms. Bonnie Lou Brooks' Obituary
Ms. Bonnie Lou Brooks, age 86, passed away peacefully Monday, May 12, 2014 in Muskegon, MI at Sanctuary at McAuley. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on September 6, 1927 to Peter and Phoebe Brooks. Bonnie was retired from McKenzie Price (the former Tuxbury’s) and then worked for the Red Cross for 14 years. She was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church. Bonnie was extremely proud of her grandchildren and loved them very much. She also loved her cats, enjoyed the beach and playing golf with Barb. Bonnie will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Kelley (Jeff) McDonald; three grandchildren, Jami, Michael and Tyler McDonald; two sisters, Elaine Borgeson and Beverly (Norman) Durham; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Barbara Murray and sister, Marilyn Parker. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Timothy D. VanderHaar officiating. VISITATION will be from 1-2 PM Saturday. MEMORIALS may be made to the Red Cross.
