Bonnie M. "Rabb" Dantzler's Obituary
Bonnie M. “Rabb” Dantzler, age 71, met her Lord and savior on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Bennie and Lionel (Matthews) Watson Sr. on September 7, 1949 in Muskegon Heights, MI and has been a life-long resident. Bonnie received a bachelor’s degree, where she focused on business education. She was a dedicated employee to GTE telephone company where she worked in the billing department for over 20 years before retiring in 1993. In 1986, she married Larry “Sparky” Dantzler in Muskegon, MI and together they cherished 16 years of marriage full of wonderful memories. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2005. Rabb took pleasure in online shopping, from clothes to shoes, dog outfits or wigs, you name it and she bought it. She also enjoyed playing the lotto and her lucky numbers every night by 7:00PM. Above all things, Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Rabb was a down to earth happy going woman who showed nothing but love to all who knew her. She will always be remembered by her radiant smile that lit up the room. She was a tender-loving woman who was loved by millions and will truly be missed. She is survived by her 4 children, Felicia Starling, Kimberly Starling, Cedric Hill and Ricky Cage; 2 sisters, Lynette (Amos) Sarweh and Pamela (Morris) Thomas; 3 God children, LaShawnda, Dionne “Lisa” and Christopher; host of grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; father of her daughters, Halton Starling; loved by many nieces and nephews; special friends, Vonda, Sandra, Pauline, June and Annette; and grand-dog, Lola. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Lionel Watson Sr.; and brother, Benjamin Watson Jr; and niece, Morsheena Thomas. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Sunrise Cemetery, 2188 Remembrance Dr., Muskegon, MI 49442. A viewing with the family will be held from 5-7:00PM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Following the service, a Repast will be held at 3:00PM at Bed Bugs Banquet Hall on Peck and Barney. Memorial Contributions in Bonnie’s honor can be made direct to the family.
