Bonnie Jean Heinz's Obituary
Bonnie Jean Heinz, age 75, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born November 10, 1946 and grew up in Ferrysburg with her parents, Hale and Elizabeth (Vrablic) Gee along with her five siblings. Bonnie attended Grand Haven High School and graduated in 1965. Not long after graduation, she met the love of her life and married Donald E. Heinz on March 30, 1968. Bonnie loved cooking and spent years raising miniature horses and donkeys, traveling to several states to find the perfect one to add to her farm. You would also find her in the garage, sharing Don’s passion for cars, working right beside him on endless restoration projects. Above all, Bonnie had a love for her family and it didn’t stop at home, it filtered through to her siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many close friends. Her relationship with her sisters was a bond that could not be broken, and her face would light up when she would see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her strength, her advice, her ability to listen and she cared deeply for everyone around her. Bonnie will greatly be missed by her husband, Don; sons, Mark (Heidi) Heinz and Mike Heinz; daughter, Lori Heinz; grandchildren, Mike Heinz, Emma Heinz, Allison Gardner, Hailey Heinz, Abbey Gardner, and Samantha Heinz; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Heinz and Mike Heinz Jr.; her brother, Larry (Gloria) Hildreth; and sisters Connie LaFrance, Kathy (Fred) Sanford and Cindy (Larry) Jackman. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel Hildreth. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in honor of Bonnie can be made to Kindred Hospice , the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post #28 , or VFW Post 2326 Grand Haven. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Share memories with the family at http://www.sytsemafh.com.
