Bonnie Sue Warren Metz's Obituary
Bonnie Sue Warren Metz, age 65, passed away unexpectedly in Muskegon, MI, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Bonnie was born in Muskegon on January 19, 1958, to Robert and Loretta (Slatter) Warren. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1976 and spent the rest of her life living in West Michigan. Bonnie worked a variety of jobs over the years, but most recently she had been working as a cook at Reeths Puffer Middle School. Bonnie loved to spend time outdoors, whether it was working in the yard, golfing, sitting by the fire, or picking mushrooms. She loved flowers and other plants, and she enjoyed making crafts. She was a headstrong individual and a hard worker who did whatever needed to be done no matter what. She was loving and caring, always making sure that the needs of others were met before her own. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and being her grandchildren’s “nana”. Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Brian Metz; two daughters, Kristy (Jenna) Webster and Pamela (Derrick) Reed; five grandchildren: Dakota Mitcheltree, Shiann (Trevor) Urquhart, Thayden Reed, Triston Reed, and BraeLynn Reed; two great-children: Emery Mitcheltree, Amity Goorhouse, plus one on the way; three sisters: Sherry (Mitchell) Lyons, Nancy (Skip) Hoeft, and Kathy (Marvin) Cook; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her two beloved chihuahuas: Cricket and Peanut. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Bonnie will be taking place at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444. VISITATION will be taking place an hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 PM. Memorial Contributions can be made out to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
