Bonnie Jane Cross' Obituary
Mrs. Bonnie Jane Cross, age 80, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in Whitehall. She was born April 5, 1924 to Frank and Dena (Poort) Carney in Muskegon, where she spent her life before moving to Whitehall in 2003. Mrs. Cross enjoyed quilting, sewing, and working with the Handicrafters. She was married to LeRoy Cross and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1959. She then married Richard L. Cross on January 27, 1962 in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1977. Mrs. Cross is survived by 7 children, Barbara King, Rose (Bobby) Doan, Richard (Edna) Cross, all of Muskegon, Sharon (Richard) Bliss of Holland, Diane (Roger) Courtland of Montague, Nancy Goodman of Kentucky, Randy (Julie) Cross of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Earl (Beverly) Carney of Muskegon, Russell Carney of Gladwin, MI; 2 sisters, Faye (Bob) Miller of Wyoming and Dodie (Frank) Welch of Manistee. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Marjorie and Mary; 3 sisters and 4 brothers. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 30, at
Sytsema Funeral Home, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
