Borghild A. "Hilde" Pflaum Dilley's Obituary
Borghilde Ann “Hilde” Pflaum Dilley, 59, of Edward, CO, died October 15, 2014. Hilde was a loving mother of three beautiful girls: Liz (Sarah) Diley of Centenial, CO, Brianne (Matt) Rapoport of Durango, CO, and Taylor (Dave) Dilley of Denver, CO. Hilde is also survived by a brother, Dr. Byron (Sue) Pflaum of Franklin, MI; a sister, Barb Pflaum of Muskegon; a sister-in-law, Heidi (Bradford) Pflaum of Waterford, MI; her former husband, Dennis Dilley; and nieces and nephew: Adrienna Martin, Jason Pflaum, Christopher and Anna VanderVen, Sidney, and Ashley and Hailey Pflaum; and great-nieces and nephews: Kaitlin, Carter, and Cooper Martin and Emily Pflaum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Byron and Beth Pflaum, a brother, Dr. Bradford Pflaum, and a nephew, Nicholas Pflaum. Hilde will surely be missed by her family and many great friends, who are glad she has found peace.
Hilde was a graduate of North Muskegon High School where she was Homecoming Queen in 1972. She later graduated from Western Michigan University, and received a BS in Communications, and a Master’s degree in Counselling. Hilde taught elementary education and was a Reading Specialist for over 28 years.
Hilde enjoyed watching her daughters play soccer and rugby, and was their biggest fan. She loved to travel, visiting Europe, Iceland, Belize and most states in the U.S. She was a continual student, loving to read and learn. She also earned a pilot’s license.
