Boyd Eugene Sherriff's Obituary
Mr. Boyd E. Sherriff, age 70, passed away at his home, Wednesday, September 17, 2008. He was born May 10, 1938 in Muskegon to Harold and Hazel (Allison) Sherriff. Boyd served in the U.S. National Guard and the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Hy-Lift for 31 years until his retirement in 1997. He married the former Linda S. Baird in Muskegon on April 10, 1976. He is survived by his wife Linda; 2 sons, Robert E. Stevens of Hubert, NC and Tony M. (Michelle) Sherriff of Spring Lake; 1 daughter, Melissa R. (Eric) Peterson of Muskegon; 1 sister, Dolores (Jerome) Novotny of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Boyd was an avid Classic Car enthusiast. His Final Car Show and Cruise will be held at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231)798-1100 on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Sherwood officiating. VISITATION will be this evening 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. til service time. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice.
