Mr. Brad L. Burger's Obituary
Brad Lee Burger, 59, passed away peacefully October 27, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born on September 4, 1958 to Jack and Caryl (Johnson) Burger in Waukesha, Wisconsin. A proud and loving father and grandfather, Brad lived his life to the fullest all the way to the end. From the many ice arenas across Michigan, to dental offices around the Midwest, or the Lake Michigan waters off the shores of Grand Haven, there was never a dull moment with Brad. Whether it was building hot rods with his bare hands, working on projects around the house, chasing Steelhead/Salmon/Brown Trout on his boat, or cheering on the Red Wings, he was a jack of all trades. His passion and love for the outdoors and DIY projects will be carried on for generations. Brad is survived by his wife, Lisa Darrow; daughter, Cristyn (Marc Bergstrom); son, Daniel (Lori); grandson, Brock; Theresa, the mother of his children; his father, Jack (Jacky); sister, Carolyn Riegler; sister, Jennifer Allen; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Caryl and brother, Jon. Brad and his family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at NOCH Heartwood Lodge Hospice House for all the care and support during our 38 day stay. Contributions in Brad’s memory may be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation to help further research and ultimately find a cure! Please visit the website, https://www.carcinoid.org/about/contributing-to-our-foundation/ to donate. A Celebration of Life Service and Reception will take place Friday, November 3 at 2PM at the Grand Haven Eagles Post 925 (20 N 2nd St., Grand Haven).
