Brenda Charlene Smith's Obituary
Mrs. Brenda Charlene Smith, age 76, passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. She was born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana on January 6, 1948 to Timothy and Odessya (Milton) Battle. Brenda was employed by Goodwill Industries prior to her retirement and was a member of Emmanuel Community Church. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching movies with her daughter, Ebony, and cooking for her family and friends. Brenda is survived by her four children, John Robinson, Stephan (Tianna) Robinson, Willie Robinson, and Ebony Watson; 23 grandchildren, including one she affectionately called Jordache and another her Reese’s cup; a host of great-grandchildren; three siblings, Jan Wilson, Robert Battle, and Alvin (Susie) Battle; her aunt, Maggie Smith; dear family friend, J.W. Harmon; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith; eight siblings, Chester Battle, Timthy Battle, Beatrice Battle, Constance O. Murphy Peters, Joseph Battle, Freddie Battle, Carrol Battle, and Phyllis Harris. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Emmanuel Community Church, 581 E.
