Brenda L. Tatro's Obituary
Brenda L. Tatro, age 74, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in Muskegon. She was born on December 15, 1948, in Denver, CO and was raised by Jack and Violet (Stenstud) White. She graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs and continued her education at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary education. She started her career as an elementary teacher but later moved on to working with the Teachers Unions in Colorado and Alabama. After that she went to work at Seton Home of San Antonio a nonprofit organization. On September 24, 1985, she married the love of her life, Steven Tatro in Montgomery, AL. Together they cherished 34 years full of love, laughter and endless adventures. The couple enjoyed life together no matter where they called home. Brenda was an avid golfer and loved spending time with Steve out on the greens. She also enjoyed the simple pleasure of cooking for others. She will be missed greatly by many. She is survived by her cousin, Sandra and (Ronald) Dean and her children, Steve and (Tracy) Dean and Michelle Dean; extended family, Cindy (Mike) Curran and their children Sam and (Amy Gillings) Curran and Patrick (Melissa) Curran; and their children Salis Curran and stepdaughter, Anna VanProoyen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Steven Tatro. A Private family service will be held. In the spring they will be brought back to Colorado Springs and laid to Rest at Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial Contributions in Brenda’s honor can be directed to Harbor Hospice.
