Brent Sneller's Obituary
Mr. Brent T. Sneller, age 39, of Portland, Oregon, (formerly of Grand Haven, MI) passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 9, 1974 to Tom and Linda (Workman) Sneller.
Brent was a graduate of Western Michigan Christian High School and Wayne State University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Geography. He loved playing the drums, spending time outdoors and on the water, and exploring the geography of each new place. His true passions were doting on his wife and two young boys. He was adventurous, kind and left a legacy of love.
On March 17, 2000 he married the former Jodie Widder; she survives him along with their 2 sons, Liam and Quinn Sneller; parents, Linda (John) Barnes of Grand Haven, Tom (Leigh) Sneller of West Olive; father-in-law, James Widder of Grand Haven and Portland; brothers and sisters: Lisa Sneller, Beth (Chris) McCann, Adam Sneller; brother-in-law, Jeff (Eva) Widder; nephew, Weston McCann; niece, Julia Widder; grandparents; Robert and Myla Workman, Carl Sneller, Lyrie Churchill. He is also survived and will be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Sneller; aunt, Laurel Sneller; and mother-in-law, Joyce (Sterry) Widder.
A celebration of Brent’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19 at First Christian Reformed Church in Grand Haven with Pastor John Grys and Rev. Richard J. Hamstra officiating. Memorial contributions in memory of Brent may be given to The Children of Brent Sneller C/O Fifth Third Bank or the Legacy Hopwell House Hospice in Portland.
