Bret A. Rewalt's Obituary
Bret Allen Rewalt, age 38, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born January 9, 1983 in Muskegon to Kenneth and Vicky (Carey) Rewalt Sr. Bret graduated from Muskegon High School in 2002. Following high school, Bret was employed by IVC Industrial Coatings-PPG in Grand Haven for 15 years. He then worked for Structural Concepts for over 5 years. On November 1, 2019, he married the former Karen L. Brackenrich in Muskegon and were members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bret was the family jokester and was an excellent cook and griller. But most importantly he was a family man, enjoying time spent with his family and family vacations. SURVIVORS include his wife, Karen; 3 children: Madisyn Brackenrich, Aubrey and Bentley Rewalt; his mother, Vicky Rewalt of Muskegon; grandmother, Phyllis Carey of Fruitport; brother, Kenneth (Nichole) Rewalt Jr. of Fruitport; sister-in-law, Melissa (Brian) Bentoske of Muskegon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Marva Brackenrich; 2 sisters-in-law, Kristine (Jeff) Kempker and Kellie Brackenrich; brother-in-law, Joe (Megan) Brackenrich; nieces and nephews: Israel (Emily), Lejaye, Victoria, Andrew, Cameron, Breanna, Lucas, Dallas, Damien, Jace, Logan, Wyatt, Gabriella, Collin, Caiden, Rowen, and Raelyn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Rewalt in 2000 and his father, Kenneth E. Rewalt Sr. in 2020. A Celebration of Bret’s Life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (1215 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with Rev. Alexander J. Koppel officiating.
