Brett M. Melvin's Obituary
Mr. Brett M. Melvin, 28, passed away June 5, 2014. Born January 25, 1986 to Michael and Patti (Thompson) Melvin, Brett lived in North Muskegon all his life. He had been employed at Metal Arc, and was a true outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing and hunting. His SURVIVORS include his parents, Michael and Patti Melvin; a sister, Stacey (Jeremy) Burghdoff of Denver, CO; grandmothers, Jean Thorsen and Marie Melvin; aunts and uncles: Peggy and Craig McCarthy, Lin and Greg Olsen, Jane Wilson and Mike Pollock, Dennis and Pat Thompson, Gary and Joyce Melvin, Tommy and Denise Melvin, Rosanne and Dominic Deludos, and Michelle Melvin and David Wendler; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Thomas Melvin and Arthur “Stubby” Thorsen. VISITATION will be 11:00 to 11:30 A.M. Thursday, June 12, 2014 and at a luncheon following a CELEBRATION OF BRETT’S LIFE which will begin at 11:30 A.M. Thursday at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex Lodge, 462 Scenic Drive.
