Dick & Lynne Kelley
Karen and family sorry for your loss. Lynne and I have not seen you guys in many years but our friendship has always been there. I was fortunate to go to Catholic Memorial High School everyday for 3 years with Brian in his 1954 Ford with a standard shift on the column ! Has time changed. Lynne and Karen graduated from Newton High School together in 1965. Brian was playing hockey at the Tilton School in New Hampshire home on spring break and I was at the New Preparatory School in Cambridge when we had our greatest adventure. While playing for an amateur hockey team from Cambridge the four of us traveled to Stamford , Connecticut to play the Bridgeport Home Oilers the foremost amateur team in Connecticut with a roster of former Long Island Ducks of the Eastern Hockey League, a farm system of the National Hockey League. Brian and I thought we would represent Catholic Memorial High School with as much bravado as possible. Little did we know we were clobbered and chased around the rink for 60 minutes and barely escaped with our lives. So much for bravado ! Karen and Lynne were furious with us and though they were going to spend the night in the local hospital. Hey, we got $ 10 for gas money and had a great time. " Till the Echoes Ring Again ".
