Brian Mazurek's Obituary
Brian Mazurek, age 39, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005. Brian was born March 4, 1966 to Jerry and Margaret Mazurek. He was a summa cum laude graduate of Albion College in 1987 and a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School in 1990. While at Michigan, Brian served for two years as editor of The Michigan Law Review. After graduation, he clerked for the Honorable Joseph P. Kinneary of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio for two years. In 1993 Brian joined the law firm of Hogan & Hartson in Washington, D. C., where he focused primarily on civil litigation and labor and employment law. SURVIVORS include his mother and father, Jerry and Margaret Mazurek; brother, Alan of Grand Rapids; sister, Marianne (Wyatt) Eggleton; 2 special nieces, Carley and Danielle Eggleton; grandfather, John Mazurek, Sr.; and special friend, Shannon Hall and her children, Tyler and Madison. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman Thompson and Lenore Mundt; paternal grandmother, Eleanor Mazurek, his aunt, Karen Marshall and his cousin, Esta Bell. A MASS OF REMEBRANCE will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005, 12 NOON at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato as celebrant. VISTATION will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests MEMORIAL contributions be made to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
