Bruce A. Bareham's Obituary
Mr. Bruce Bareham, age 62, of Grand Haven passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at home. He was born March 14, 1951 in Detroit to Robert N. and Eunice (Keskey) Bareham.
He was a member of First Reformed Church in Grand Haven and had worked at RA Miller Industries for over 35 years.
Bruce had a passion for sports and he loved the Detroit Tigers. He was a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. He umpired softball for nearly 20 years, refereed high school football games for over 40 years, and officiated high school basketball for 25 years. He coached his kids and many friends in soccer, basketball, and baseball. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them.
On March 28, 1980 he married the former Linda Sheffield in Grand Haven, and she survives him along with two children: Jessica and Kraig Witte of Grand Rapids and Kurt and Emily Bareham of Grand Haven; one grandson, Jackson Witte; a sister, Elizabeth (Andrew) Black; a brother, Phillip (Nancy) Bareham; mother- and father–in-law, Don and Arlene Sheffield; brother-in-law, Greg (Vicki) Sheffield; sister-in-law, Sandy (Robert) French; nieces and nephews: Ashley, Kari, Brandon, Alexis, Arielle, Kirsten, Andrew, Abigail, Philip, Jr, and Nancylee; and special friends, Tom and Caryn VanArkel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eunice; and twin brother, Bob Bareham.
The funeral service for Bruce will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2013 at First Reformed Church in Grand Haven with Rev. John Kenny officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
