I had the pleasure of working with Bruce quite often over the last few years. Whenever JA&G was too busy to produce all their work Bruce would come to Sound Images. I loved to work with him. We really hit it off- we shared the same sense of humor and he was just great to work with.
We all miss him terribly.

Dear Family of Bruce,
I am very saddened by Bruce's passing. I worked with him at Sive/Y&R for at least 10 years. I will remember Bruce for his quit wit and great personality. I saw him about a year ago at a Sive Reunion. Hadn't seen him for 8 years because I had moved away -- he was just exactly the same Bruce.
He will be missed by me and so many others.

I have to say I had the honor of knowing Bruce. Because it was truly an honor. We worked together for 6 years at Sive Y&R and he was more than a co-worker to me, to so many of us. He was an inspiration. He was a steady hand. He was the person who provided insight and perspective. He was a friend. Our entire creative department started every day in his office, laughing, talking, joking. To start one's days like that, laughing with a dear friend, is a gift. I will miss Bruce. I really enjoyed working for him because he made me feel like I was working "with" him as a collaborator.
I was honored to be able to bring my voice to his words in the land of radio copy. Whether it was a sale on ripe tomatoes or a grand opening in town, we always had fun recording in the studio and even though I knew him only professionally, he opened up to me the last time I saw him. I asked if he traveled. He explained that he was a type 1 diabetic and that it limited him. But his face lit up talking about books. I'm so glad that we had more time that day to get to know each other. I didn't know it would be our last conversation. I guess we never do.
I'm stunned still.

I worked with Bruce for more than 20 years, via different agencies and studios. It was always a pleasure working with him -- he always brought a happy, relaxed but thoroughly professional and extremely capable presence to everything I was privileged to join him in doing.
