Bruce A. Hasenbank's Obituary
Mr. Bruce A. Hasenbank, age 71, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on August 21, 1945 to Arthur and Lucille (Selim) Hasenbank and had lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. Bruce was a retired veteran from the U.S. Navy and had served our country for 23 years. It was during this time period, in 1971, that he married Jeanne Hopka. Bruce was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, member and past chief of the Muskegon Vikings and was also a member of the Lakeside Vets. He enjoyed playing cribbage, but foremost was always his family. Bruce had worked as a supervisor at MATS for over 10 years prior to retiring in 2008. SURVIVORS include his loving wife, Jeanne of 46 years; his nephew and godson, Adam Shaw; niece, Emily (Chris) Halloran; sister-in-law, Diane (Raymond) Shaw and his mother-in-law, Lorraine Hopka. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 4475 Henry St. (231)798-2197. VISITATION will be held 10-11 AM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Vikings Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are being handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100.
