Bruce W. Hite's Obituary
Bruce W. Hite, age 61, met his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 21, 2021. He was born on December 13, 1959 to Charles “Chuck” and Mildred (Simmons) Hite in Muskegon, MI. He was a dedicated employee of CMI Auto Parts, where he worked as a machine operator for about 10 years. He was a faithful servant and attended Edgewood Lutheran Church. On December 8, 2001 he married the love of his life, the former, Joyce Host in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 17 years full of love, laughter and spontaneous road trips. She preceded him in death on October 4, 2019. Bruce was known to be an avid watcher of the television in his retired years. He also loved going to the UP and taking random road trips with his wife. Above all things, he truly loved his family and being a grandfather. He will always be remembered for being a loving “grumpy grandpa”. He is survived by his 3 children, Sheila (Frank) Patterson, Pamela (Brian) Roesch and Dominic (Stacie) Westerlund; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gloria Gould and Julie Hite; and brother, Chuck (Stacey) VerHomeven. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joyce Hite. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Bruce’s honor can be made directly to the Kidney Foundation.
