Mr. Bruce H. Nelson's Obituary
Mr. Bruce H. Nelson, 67, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021, in Muskegon. He was born July 9, 1953 to Clarence and Beverly (Schroff) Nelson in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Bruce worked for A & D Machinery for over 20 years as a master CNC machinist before retiring in 2015. He was a guitarist in a band in the 60s and 70s and had a great passion for music especially the blues. He enjoyed grilling and backyard barbeques, discussing philosophy, politics and playing Jeopardy, playing chess, taking trips to the casino, and of course his dogs. On May 10, 2012 he married Edna L. Herbert, and she survives him along with 2 daughters: Rebecca (Douglas) Hunter, Jr., Geneva Hunter; grandchildren Heath Hunter, Timothy Hunter, Lance Hunter, Douglas Hunter III, Kalani Marlowe, Arthur Marlowe, Mason Hunter, Carson Hunter and Trinity Jefferson; several great-grandchildren; sister Marianne Plamondan and special cousin Andrew Cirner. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Alaina Hunter and grandson Marcel Marlowe. There will not be a funeral, but there will be visitation at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 2-4 PM.
