Bruce Adrian Schlukebir's Obituary
Bruce A. Schlukebir, 87, met his faithful Savior Jesus Christ face to face Friday afternoon, April 14, 2023. He was born January 27, 1936, to Adrian J. and Petronella (DeWall) Schlukebir in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Bruce owned Ade’s Collision Service in Muskegon for many years before retiring. He was a charter member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. Bruce loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, but most importantly being a husband, dad, and grandpa. On June 22, 1956, he married the love of his life, Marian L. Rensenbrink. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his entire family: his wife, his four daughters; Dawn (Doug) Dornbos, Sheila (Jim) Warners, Susan (Bob) Vanderlaan, Jodi (Mike) Hoffman; 11 grandchildren; Joshua (Andrea) Dornbos, Jonah Dornbos, Jordan (Rachel) Warners, Betsy Posby, Molly (Joe) Girolamo, Evan (April) Vanderlaan, Laura (Aaron) Ridings, Courtney Vanderlaan, Elliott (LaRissa) Vanderlaan, Mitchell Hoffman, Taylor Hoffman; 19 great-grandchildren; Aylah, Macy, Emery, Isabella, Esme, Weston, Henry, Violet, Jude, Charlie, Collette, Luca, Arlo, Reid, Lily, Caleb, Josephine, Anneke, and Holland; one brother: Roger (Joan) Schlukebir; one brother-in-law: Chuck Rensenbrink; many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Bruce’s life will be held Thursday, April 20, at 11:00 AM at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W. Norton Ave., Norton Shores, 49441. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441, will be Wednesday, April 19, from 5-7 PM. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Schlukebir may be made to Muskegon Christian School or Western Michigan Christian High School/Middle School. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services.
