Mr. Bruce Thornberg's Obituary
Bruce Thornberg, loving husband, father, and friend to many, passed away peacefully August 13, 2017. Bruce loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, do it yourself projects and more recently golfing. He was a life member of the NRA and Elks Club, Muskegon Rifle and Pistol Club, and Foxfire Country Club. Bruce was employed as a supervisor at CWC Textron for 35 years, prior to his retirement in 1998. He was born July 27, 1938 to Jacob and Lucy (German) Thornberg. Bruce is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Block Thornberg; daughter, Dr. Michelle Thornberg; grandsons, Angelo and Arno Riolo; sister, Joyce (Don) Monson; brothers, Dennis Thornberg and Gary (Dee) Thornberg. He was preceded in death by his son, David. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, with Pastor Steve Deur officiating. VISITATION will be Friday evening from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM) Saturday. INTERMENT will be in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to The Alstrom Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County or the Watermark Go Local Mission Fund.
