Brunhilda A. "Bea" Swanker's Obituary
Brunhilda A. “Bea” Swanker, age 100, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was born December 12, 1919 in Cedar Point, Illinois to Charles and Mary (Margis) Mazeikis. On June 24, 1938, she married Robert W. Swanker, Sr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2009. Bea had worked 21 years in food service for the Mona Shores School District prior to retiring. She was a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the Muskegon Moose. Bea loved to listen to music, dance, decorate cakes, garden, and play Skip-Bo and do crossword puzzles. SURVIVORS include 4 children: Robert W. “Bob” (Jan) Swanker, Jr. of Roosevelt Park, James (Bonnie) Swanker of Norton Shores, Mari (Dayre) Newport of Davis, IL, Jack D. Swanker of Roosevelt Park; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne (Tom) Fricano of Grand Haven; sister-in-law, Beverly Mazeikis of Norton Shores; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kibbey and a brother, Richard Mazeikis. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Bea will be held later.
