Bryce Ray Vanover's Obituary
Bryce Ray Vanover, age 66, of Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 20, 2017, at home. He was born June 6, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to James and Charlene (Scott) Vanover, and he married Emma Schebel on September 29, 1973, in Detroit, Michigan. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2005.
Bryce received a degree from Lawrence Tech as an aerospace engineer, and retired from Parker-Hannifin in 2013. He was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles Aerie # 925, Sons of American Legion, and Moose Lodge. His other interests were golfing, boating, and working as a volunteer ski patrol at Cannonsburg for 20 years.
He is lovingly remembered by Christine “Chris” Boeve of Spring Lake; his son Bryce (Laura) Vanover, II of Spring Lake; granddaughter, Kassidy Vanover; mother, Charlene Vanover of Land O’ Lakes, Florida; his brother, James “Jim” Vanover of Land O’ Lakes, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Vanover, his son, Michael Vanover, and brother, Warren Vanover.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Service-The VanZantwick Chapel with Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions to National Ski Patrol are appreciated https://nsp.org.
