Buford C. Armstrong's Obituary
On March 30, 2018, Buford C. Armstrong went to be with His Lord and Savior at the age of 80. Born November 15, 1937 in Coffee County, Tennessee, he lived most of his life in Wayne/Westland, Michigan. For the last 22 years, he has called Muskegon, MI home -
residing at Maranatha Bible Conference, where he had spent many summers previously.
Buford leaves behind a legacy of a large loving family - most notably his loving wife, Gayle - his bride of 60 years. His five children - Cal (Karen) Armstrong, Daran (Pearl) Armstrong, Valorie (Scott) VanderVeen, Veronica (Dave) Commire, and Brooks (Kelly) Armstrong, will miss him terribly.
Buford and Gayle also enjoyed being an intimate part of the lives of their 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Even with so many, Grand-Dad had a wonderful way of making each one feel so special. What a wonderful testimony of his Christian faith that his life touched so many in such a positive way.
The Joy of the Lord was so evident in his passion for life, bright smile, and contagious laughter. We will ever be thankful for our time with him. Praise the Lord!
The visitation and funeral will be held at Shores Community Church (formerly Mona Shores Baptist) 3800 Lake Harbor Rd Norton Shores, Mi 49441. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, April 8th 2-5PM. A Memorial Service will be held, Monday, April 9th at 2PM. Cards of support can be directed to the family at church.
