Your Mother was my second grade teacher. She taught me phonics and basically, how to read. We also shared an Aunt (Evelyn Holtrop Hoebeke). Your Dad was Mary and my seventh and eighth grade History teacher. He taught me how to outline, made History one of my favorite classes all through school, and also taught our two sons before his retirement. Every time I would see him, school-related or anywhere else, he always remembered me and asked how Mary was. I'll remember him for his beautiful penmanship, for every once in a while reading a story to our class, and for always having a big smile. While we are sorry for your loss, we hope you also will always have happy memories of a great guy.
