Burton Henry Taylor Sr.'s Obituary
Burton Henry Taylor, Sr., age 91, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. He was born March 28, 1924, in Grand Haven to Charles Legrande and Reva Gladys (Flowers) Taylor, and he married Rosetta Goodin on March 28, 1947. She preceded him in death on May 12, 2011.
Burton attended Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene, was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles, and V.F.W. Dads of Foreign Service Veterans. He worked as a machinist at Johnson Products in Muskegon before retiring. Burton loved to hunt, fish, and camp, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, Thiel (Bonnie) Taylor of Grand Haven; four grandchildren: Gwen (Anthony) Melton, Burton (Brianne) Taylor, II, Timothy (Heidi) Taylor, and John (Stacy Holmes) Taylor; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Thiel Taylor, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Pastor Richard Brēst officiating. Friends may meet the family from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday April 8, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.
