Buster Hinson's Obituary
Buster Hinson, 86 years, 11 months, 20 days, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed into eternity on April 25, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He peacefully moved from our arms to be reunited with his wife, Dorothy, who preceded him into heaven. Buster devoted his life to providing and caring for his family. Buster worked at S.D. Warren for 38 years. He was born May 5, 1922 in Cadiz, Kentucky, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1955. He served as a foster parent with his wife for 32 years. His playful, kind nature made him loved by many. He loved telling old stories of his childhood. He cherished the memories he shared with his family. Each year he looked forward to the family’s annual trip to Deer Park/Michigan Adventure. The Lakeside Memorial Day parade was a highlight for him. He would watch each and every one from the hill at the top of Morton and McCracken. He took an honored seat at all of his great-grandchildren’s sporting events. Prior to his illness, he could be seen throughout the day walking through his beloved Lakeside neighborhood. On December 4, 1947 Buster married Dorothy Mae Choate. She preceded him in death on November 18, 1997. SURVIVORS include 4 children, William H. (Sharon) Hinson, Peggy Gardner, Keith Hinson, Jeffery Hinson, all of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Tonya (Larry) Mitchell, Eric (Frances Barnes) Mathews, Melissa Gardner, Bobby (fiancée,Hope) Gardner, Amanda (Mauro Garcia) Gardner; 1 step-grandson, Louie; 11 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Tiara, Bobby, Samantha, Dakota, Amiya, Amari, Katelyn, MeShaune, Janelle, and Tristan. Buster was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Georgia Mae Hinson; 1 sister, and 6 brothers. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at the Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Leslie K. Lew officiating.
