I went to Mona Shores Public Schools K-9. i didn't get the chance to have Mr.Hanichen for a Principal. He was my brothers Mark, Rick,Kurt,Joe and Craigs Prinicipal. My sincere condolences to the Hanichen Family.

I did not know Bill Hanichen personally, but certainly knew of his dedication to education. Bill's most enduring legacy, however, is he raised 3 terrific sons, who I DO know. Andy, Matt and Joel, my sincere condolences.

My heart goes out to the Hanichen family. Memories have flooded back to the days on Lawnel, especially to the great family who lived just two doors down. Sports, baby sitting those 3 rascals, fires on the beach, and those block parties. I will miss Bill at the golf course also. What a great role model for all of us who started that High School. I am so sorry to hear about Bill's death. I know both his son Matt and daughter-in-law Karen through the Mona Shores School District where I taught and subbed after retirement. I was actually in cardiac rehab at the same time as Bill about 6years ago. He was a very nice gentleman. I will keep him and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Cindy Anderson
