Caitlin N. Longcore Peters' Obituary
Caitlin Longcore (Peters), age 34, of Roosevelt Park, MI, passed away with her family by her side after a battle with liver cancer, which she fought with intense grit and grace. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nicole, her grandmother and grandfather, Lou and Jack Elema, her grandmother, Patricia Peters, her stepfather, Fred Galindo, her father, Tom Peters and her father-in-law, Don Longcore. Caitlin is survived by her beloved husband, Craig, her daughters, Gianna Noel and Logan Alaïa, and her stepson Connor James, who adored her and were the lights of her life. Her mother, Laura “Ma” Galindo, sister, Aubree Peters, mother-in-law, Beth Longcore, in-laws, William and Celia Knox, and nieces and nephew will grieve her loss always. Other cherished loved ones include her grandfather, Carl Peters, many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
At the core of her being, Caitlin was a loving, thoughtful and compassionate person to all she met. To know her was to love her. As an esthetician who ran her own business, she had many clients-turned-friends due to her ability to lend a listening ear while putting her talents and creativity to use in the salon. Her skill for putting people at ease in conversation, wherever she was, was top-notch and allowed her to build a huge network of great people in her life. She would do anything for someone in need, whether that meant providing a full Thanksgiving dinner to a family, donating her professional services at benefit events or dropping everything to support a friend. She’ll be lovingly remembered for her fondness of extravagant party planning, family vacations, her love for Disney, Halloween and astrology and the joy she could find in simple things like listening to nostalgic music, being at home together and taking trips as a family just to do errands.
Caitlin was beautiful inside and out and though her life was too short, the world is a better place for having had her in it. Through her affection and devotion to her children, her essence has been instilled in them. They will carry on her legacy of kindness, selflessness, hard work, dedication, charitability and the desire to do what is right and fair.
