Caleb Russell Genson's Obituary
Caleb Russell Genson, age 14, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Grand Rapids after bravely fighting a 7-month battle with cancer. He was born in Muskegon on January 28, 1995 to CJ and Tina (Moulds) Genson. Caleb was an 8th grade student at White Pines Middle School in Grand Haven. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall and was very proud of just recently being confirmed. Caleb’s passion was found in sports; whether it was playing, watching or keeping statistics, he was happy. He was a member of Northwood Golf Course and played on many teams, including Tri Cities Football League, Grand Haven Buccaneers, White Lake Little League, and YMCA of Grand Haven Basketball. He is survived by his loving parents, Tina and Ken Stafford of Grand Haven and CJ and Nanette Genson of Whitehall; siblings, Tyler and Kaelyn Stafford and Zachary and Chelsea Carlson; grandparents, Larry and Barb Huber, Charles and Linda Moulds, Richard and Velma Stafford, Wendy Wittebort, Dan and Nancy Sheesley, Conrad Swanson; great-grandparents, Cornelius and Barb Vanderleest, John and Jackie Moulds, Delores Skiba, Arthur Wittebort; his god-parents, Conrad and Sarah Swanson; his god-son, whom he was so proud of, Connor Nash; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rita Swanson and Art Skiba and great-grandmas, Alice Vanderleest and Velma Wittebort. SERVICES will be 11AM Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church (707 E. Alice, Whitehall, MI) with Rev. Michael Kroll officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-9PM Friday at
