Calvin T. Button Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Calvin T. Button, Jr, age 71, of Norton Shores, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at home. He was born October 13, 1953, in Grand Haven to Calvin and Phyllis (Scheltema) Button. On August 15, 1975, he married Kelly Davis in Grand Haven.
Calvin was a machinist for Carter Manufacturing for over 26 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and watching football, but most of all, he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Kelly; three children: Teresa Akers, Jennifer Russell-English, and Nathan (Corine) Button; six grandchildren: David, Carly, Bradly, Cody, Venessa, and Dante; one great-grandchild, Jaxon; mother, Phyllis Button; brother, Robert Button; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin T. Button, grandchildren: Marcus Russell, Ziva English and Gage English; brothers, David, and Elden Button; sister-in-law, Pam Button.
A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Friday, February 7, 2025, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417.
