Calvin H. Epplett's Obituary
Mr. Calvin H. Epplett, age 89, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 in Grand Haven. He was born on April 4, 1923 in Muskegon to Hubert and Jacoba (DeJonge) Epplett, and resided in the area for many years. Calvin worked for Mark-Pack for over 30 years, and was a lifetime member of Covenant Community Church. On October 28, 1944, he married the former Lauretta Peterson, and she preceded him in death on April 16, 2011. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Denise (Dave) Johnson of Grand Haven; 6 grandchildren, Shannon (Tanya), Breanna, Blair, Christopher, Courtney, and Nicole; 2 brothers, Earl (Marilyn) Epplett of Twin Lake, Thomas (Mary) Epplett of Spring Lake; 2 sisters, Karen (Harry) Nienhouse of Muskegon, and Ruth David of North Muskegon. Calvin was also preceded in death by son, Paul Epplett; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 12 PM Saturday (November 3) at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Mark Bush officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 11-12PM.
