Calvin Frank Gilbert's Obituary
Mr. Calvin Frank Gilbert, age 75, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on September 28, 1945 to Lyle and Thelma (Coles) Gilbert and graduated from Coopersville High School, class of 1963. Calvin was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was employed by Howmet Corporation for 42 years prior to his retirement. Calvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, and good food. Most importantly, he loved his family and he always put them first. On July 26, 1969, Calvin married the former Mary Ann McWilliams and she survives him along with two daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Carnes and Terrie (Derek) Burt; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Justin Baker) Patricio, Kal (Nicole) Patricio, Aryn (Tim) MacKay, Hayden (Kyle Santman) Patricio, Summer Patricio, Tyler Carnes, Kaitlyn (Scotty Sittser) Carnes, Courtney (Erik White) Gilbert, Lance Burt, and Emily Burt; 10 great-grandchildren, Landen, Torren, Rowen, Addie G., Skylar, Savannah, Zak, Mady, Josiah, Magnolia; brother, Lynn (Brenda) Gilbert; nieces, Joanne and Crystal; and nephews, Scott and William. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
