Mrs. Candace "Candy" Cole's Obituary
Mrs. Candace A. “Candy” Cole, 72, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 8, 2018, in Grand Rapids. She was born January 4, 1946 to Sherman K. and Mary Ann (Kennedy) Denhof in Muskegon, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, had taught at Moon School, and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. On June 15, 1968 Candy married Paul L. Cole, and he survives her along with 5 children: Kristoffer (Becky) Cole, Holly (Mike) Michelli, Patrick (Rob Chandanais) Cole, Andrew (Jen) Cole, Nick (Jenn) Cole; 10 grandchildren: Cole, Griffin, Rachel, Kennedy, Breanna, Kiera, Lincoln, Rowan, Ella and Nora; her mother: Mary Ann Denhof; 1 sister: Nancy (Lowell) Smith. She was preceded in death by her father; 2 brothers: Richard “Butch” Denhof and Michael Denhof. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 11, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, will be Thursday, May 10, from 5-8 PM, with the Rosary prayed at 5:00. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
