Candy was my sister from another mother. She lit up any room she was in. I actually met her when I was 14 ….when I started dating her older brother , Gary. When Gary and I finally married in 2003, Candy accepted me with open arms as her sister . I will be forever grateful for having her in my life. Love you , sis❤️🌸❤️🌸
Candy was a wonderful person. I met her a couple years ago at her sisters house in Ludington. She made both my husband and I feel so welcome around the dinner table. I know her siblings and extended family will miss her terribly. Many prayers are sent to all. Lois🍒

Being Candy’s elder brother, my memories of her date back to the beginning of her wonderful journey on earth. Our childhoods were closely entwined from 1948 through 1964 when I left for college. Candy was my constant companion growing up in an Air Force family moving every few years from state to state. She was quick to make new friends with each new school and neighborhood. As our younger siblings joined our traveling band of Gypsies, Candy quickly took to looking after them growing up. While she may have looked up to her older brother, she always looked after her three younger siblings, Bob, Pat, and Pam with each new move to a new home. Candy’s early childhood as a caring sister prepared her for her own life as a wife and mother in a military family. With her husband Jimmy and children; Ted, James, and Carrie, Candy guided her family on a journey crisscrossing the country much like her own journey. Each time setting up a new home, making new fiends, and leading the charge in new adventures. Candy lived an unselfish life. When you talked with her she made sure the conversation was never about her and always about you. Her stories were always her memories about good times with you. Her gifts were always items she curated just for you. Through it all to the very end, Candy was resilient, always positive, and forever generous with her time and love. She will be missed but never forgotten. She lived a very good life.
