Candace S. "Candy" Rogers' Obituary
Mrs. Candace Suzanne “Candy” Rogers, age 68, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side Saturday evening, November 14, 2015 with dignity and charm, after a courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. She was born October 23, 1947 in Reed City, MI to John T. and Connie (Lehmer) Deacey. Candy was a homemaker and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1967. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; and will be deeply missed. Candy enjoyed flower gardening and ceramics, but especially loved her grandchildren, visiting the Casino and caring for her dogs and cats. On September 18, 2015 she celebrated 50 years of marriage to Harold James Rogers (Sr.) and he survives her along with their 3 children, Harold James Rogers II, Alicia Marie (Chris Johnson) Rogers, Angie Kay (Hank Myers) Rogers; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Pat (Lynn) Leusby and 2 brothers, Jim (Kay) Deacey and Dean (Barb) Deacey, all of the Reed City area; and by many, many friends. Candy was preceded in death by two daughters, Bobbie Sue and Connie Jo Rogers; great-grandson, Brayden; her parents and 1 brother, Bob Deacey. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00PM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100), with Joyce Rogers, Celebrant.
