Carl A. Anderson's Obituary
Carl A. Anderson, age 97, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019 at his home in Norton Shores. He was born in Kent City, MI on January 25, 1922 to Harold and Marie (Holben) Anderson. On July 24, 1943, Carl married the former Caroline Shears and they were blessed with 75 years of marriage. Carl was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in the South-West Pacific during WWII. He retired after over 40 years of working as a sheet metal mechanic, a career in which he took great pride. He was a talented artist and enjoyed making jewelry, personalized greeting cards, and woodworking. Carl also enjoyed playing shuffleboard, golf, camping, and there was nothing more important than Sunday afternoons with his family. He was a man of strong faith and was a member of Anchor Point Bible Church. Carl is survived by his wife, Caroline; daughter, Chris Ann Jett; grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Hansen and Dustin (Alicia) Jett; great-grandchildren, Seth, Chloe, Madeleine, Ella, and twins on the way; and sister, Lois Hooker. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Craig Anderson; and sisters, Catherine Johnson and Marian Beach. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Dr. Rob N. Renberg, Jr. officiating.
