Carl Lee Harris' Obituary
Carl Lee Harris age 78, of Ravenna, MI died Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Carl was born on November 7, 1943 in Ravenna to the late Vernon R. and Rita Mae (Baker) Harris and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1961. Carl was in the U.S. Army in 1967-68 serving in Viet Nam. He married Ruth Ann (Michaels) Harris on March 27, 1963 in Ravenna, MI she preceded him in death on October 9, 2005. He was a member of American Legion Post 297 in Ravenna, was very involved in Ravenna FFA and helped at the Muskegon County Fair for years.
Carl is survived by: 2 Sons: Vernon R. Harris II of Bailey, MI. and Michael T. (Cassie) Harris of Arkansas. 2 Daughters: Amy (Mario) Guzman and Allison (Brandon) Kantola both of Ravenna. 17 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. 2 Sisters: Lois J. (Laverne) Frantz and Alice A Minzey both of Ravenna. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wife Ruth and 2 Grandsons: Jason & Drew Harris.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Township Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 9:00am until the time of service.
