Mr Carl W. Olson's Obituary
Carl W. Olson, age 93, passed away on November 13, 2013. He was born in Muskegon on May 22, 1920 to Carl and Esther Olson. He married Nellie Smith on June 11, 1954 in Muskegon. He was employed at Johnson Products for over 35 years, until retirement in 1987. Carl was a member of Central Assembly of God in Muskegon. Carl was a loyal, funny, and loving man who enjoyed fishing, playing cards, bingo, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. First and foremost to Carl was always his family. He will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include his wife Nellie (Smith) Olson of Norton Shores; 4 daughters, Evonne (Mark) Shannon of Houston, TX, Carla (Wes) Griffes of N. Muskegon, Wanda (Tim) O’Toole of Muskegon, and Cindy (Jim) Bos of Spring Lake; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Florence Olson and Eleanor Johnson; and his brother Donald Olson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11am on Saturday November 16, 2013 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St 231-798-1100 with Dr. Gordon D. Aikin officiating. VISITATION will be held on Friday from 5-8pm. A special thanks to Harbor Hospice Poppen House and the Chariots of Fire. Memorial Contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice.
