Mr. Carl E. Schotts Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Carl Schotts, age 77, passed away Saturday morning, September 22, at his home. He was born September 14, 1935 in White Cloud, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Carl worked at Brunswick Corp. for 40 years before retiring. He loved being with his children and grandchildren, was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed his yard and gardening. He volunteered at Family Financial Credit Union every Friday, and was a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers. Carl was also a very generous man who often “donated” to the Little River Casino. On January 21, 1956 Carl married Joyce E. Stout, and she preceded him in death on October 9, 2007. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Sherry (Bob Kiester) Schotts of Fremont, Carl (Aubrey) Schotts, Jr. of Muskegon, Tina Terryn of N. Muskegon, Lonnie Schotts of Norton Shores; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Kathy Anderson of Muskegon; and his special friend, Ruby. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers, Dale, Ken, Bob, Art, Jerry, and Richard. A TIME OF GATHERING with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, September 26 at
