Mr. Carl W. Sorensen's Obituary
Carl W. Sorensen age 85, passed away on Monday June 29, 2015. Carl was born on January 31, 1930 to Charles and Luella Sorensen. He served his country proudly during the Korean War. After the war he worked for the USPS for over 25 years. In 1969 he married the former Frances Udell Wilbur. Carl was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Past Commander of the National Order of Trench Rats and head of bingo at the DAV and Select Auditorium. He enjoyed working Bingo, fishing, hunting, camping, being with his family and woodworking. He was a funny, friendly, lovable, kind-hearted man who will be deeply missed. Carl is survived by his wife of 46 years Frances; children, William (Elizabeth) Sorensen, Raymond (Jean) Sorensen, Carl (Cindy) Sorensen, Patty Jo Kublick, Floyd Wilbur, Lillie Shaft, Louis (Christine) Wilbur and Terry (David) Kinserdahl; many grand and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Andre; son, John Wilbur; granddaughter Renee Wolffis; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1pm on Friday July 3rd, 2015 at The Salvation Army, 1221 Shonat Street, Muskegon. VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
