Carl Victor Stenberg's Obituary
Mr. Carl Victor Stenberg, age 97, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 in Muskegon. He was born in Pentwater, Michigan on August 19, 1919 to Leonard and Helen (Coon) Stenberg. Carl was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the Red Arrow Division that served in New Guinea during WWII. He was an electrician and had worked for several local companies before retiring from Wolverine Worldwide as an electrical supervisor. Carl was a devoted husband of 75 years and a loving father and grandfather. On November 22, 1941, he married the former Frances Hladin and she survives him along with their two children, Don (Jan) Stenberg and Cheryl (Jim) Crays; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Ardis Liddle and Barbara Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jack Stenberg; two brothers, Clyde Stenberg and Charles Stenberg and sister, Mary Jane Curry. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his services. MEMORIALS in Carl’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Harbor Hospice. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
