Carl C. Wanerus' Obituary
Mr. Carl C. Wanerus, age 86, died Friday, August 6, 2010. He was born March 20, 1924 in Evanston, IL to Carl W. and Alma (Chellgren) Wanerus and has resided in the Muskegon area most of his life. Mr. Wanerus had been a boilermaker prior to his retirement and was a twelve- year U.S. Navy veteran; and had served during WW II. He was a life-member of the VFW, Don Rea Post #8846. On December 24, 1954 he married the former LaVerna James and she preceded him in death last month, on July 18, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his son, Burdette Wanerus and 1 sister, Betty MacDonald. SURVIVORS include 1 son, James (Sharon) Galpin of Cummings, GA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. GRAVESIDE SERVICES under the auspices of Don Rea VFW Post #8846 will be held 3PM Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Norton Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
