Carl J. Milliron's Obituary
Mr. Carl J. Milliron, age 50, died early Thursday morning, August 14, 2008, at his home, following a 16 month illness with brain cancer. Carl was born August 28, 1957 in Muskegon to Gordon L. and Evelyn M. (Herbert) Milliron and has resided in the area most of his life. Carl was a graduate of Orchard View High School, Ferris State University and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany from 1977-1979. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially spending time with his family. Carl was employed as an Accountant with Midwest Energy of Cassopolis, MI. On October 8, 1983 he married the former Theresa Jo Curran and she survives him along with 3 children, Nicholas, Meghan and Alec Milliron; his parents, Gordon and Evelyn Milliron of Muskegon; 6 brothers and 2 sisters, Denny (Toni) Milliron, Sue (Gary) Clifford, Loyd Milliron, Barb (Randy) Dake, Jerry Milliron, and Wayne (Betty) Milliron, all of Muskegon, Rex (Diane) Milliron of Grand Rapids, and Dave (Lorraine) Milliron of Ravenna; 2 brothers-in-law, Mike (Cindy) Curran of Norton Shores and Pat (Patty) Curran, Jr. of Wyoming, MI and by many loving nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his nephew, Adam Milliron. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 16, 2008, at St. James' Catholic Church (5179 Dowling St., Montague, MI 49437) with Deacon Greg Anderson presiding. VISITATION with Carl’s family will be 6-8:30 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210). MEMORIAL GIFTS to Cystic Fibrosis or Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
